Transcript: WagzTail Season 2 Episode 3 [Part 3: Species Characteristics]
Listen to the original recording.
| 21:14 | Wolvy: This is more fun. We wrote up a list here of animal furry types, furry animal types and I’d be curious to find out a little bit of your takes on characteristics of these furry animal types. If we were to, for fun, stereotype them, how would we stereotype them?
I’m going to call out some names here of these different types of animals and I want you all, as furry types, and I want you all to think about it and with one or two or three words tell me what do you think the principal characteristic are of them. OK? Wolvy: Alright. We’ll start with wolves; people who are furry, who self-described themselves as being wolves. What do you think? Give me some words. I can start. I’ll start here. Pack-oriented. |
| 22:13 | Wolfin: Noble.
Sphen: Vile. 2chaotic: Aggressive. Wolvy: Leaders. Madeline: Strong-willed. Sphen: Determined. Sphen: Hard-working. Wolvy: Man, you hit them. You had a bunch of them. Don’t use them all up because you’ve got other animals to use them to. What about other dogs and huskies, for instance? How would you describe them? Sphen: I’m not sure what the difference is. Wolfin: I can say all canines look alike. Wolvy: OK. I got for huskies. Happy-go-lucky and wanting to please and play ball. Wolfin: Dogs tends to be loyal. 2chaotic: Hyperactive. Wolvy: But for huskies and dogs, what do you… |
| 23:01 | Madeline: Well…
Wolfin: Dogs tend to be quite loyal and faithful. Wolvy: Loyal. Faithful. Madeline: Relaxed. Wolvy: Relaxed is a good one. 2chaotic: Begging at the table. [Laughter] Wolfin: Very cool. Wolvy: OK. Let’s get to foxes. Wolfin: Frisky. Sphen: Helpful. 2chaotic: Cautious. Wolfin: Mischievous. [Laughter] Wolvy: Faithful and mischievous. Free-willing. Wolvy: Clever problem-solvers. Wolvy: What about mythical creatures like dragons and griffins? Sphen: Dragons? Wolfin: About dragons and griffins… wise. |
| 24:00 | 2chaotic: That’s a difficult one.
Wolvy: I’ve heard… Wolfin: Generally powerful. Wolvy: Yes. Stolid. What about? Could you use the word elitists? Wolfin: Although some of them can get arrogant. [Laughter] Madeline: Wolves and creatures like dragons and stuff are a little like known the way they are and stuff. Both are very strong-willed. Wolfin: Yeah. Wolvy: OK. I can see that. What about others? |
| 25:03 | Sphen: Often, probably energetic
Wolvy: Energetic. That sort of describes me. I have to jump in before. Wolfin: Very playful. Wolvy: Playful, yup. I find that I tend to jump in the situations before I know exactly what’s entail, tend to be bit of impulsive and easily distracted. Madeline: That’s sounds like me. Wolvy: Yeah, I think so. OK, how about lions and tigers? Do you all know some lions or tigers? Sphen: Lions and tigers are both aggressive and playful. Wolvy: Aggressive and playful. 2chaotic: I would say graceful sometimes. Wolvy: I like that one. Madeline: They are committed. Wolvy: I also think they are committed. Well, you know they do typically get together and all some prides right? They are certainly proud to be a predator and they love to play with their food. |
| 26:06 | Wolfin: All cats. That’s got to be felines.
Sphen: Like when you mention, pride is going to be felines. Wolvy: What about equine animals like horses, unicorns and pegasus types. [Laughter] Wolvy: What? Wolfin: Sorry, I will not say it. Wolvy: I see 2chaotic’s message there. Hey, 2chaotic you have volunteered for the next one buddy. 2chaotic: I did. Well, I have a really good connection I think so. Wolvy: Yeah. I am doing my best here. You can see other thing about me somewhat a technical savvy. I tend to cable a lot of equipment together so I have got a Shure studio mic hooked into a mixing board that I bought from a church and that is plugged in to my computer. So that is how I am getting. |
| 27:01 | 2chaotic: I think overall, your quality sound is great. I think for people to people with Skype and such network lag makes things less than fun.
Wolvy: I got for horses, unicorns and pegasus types. Everyone that I seemed to have met so far online seemed to all be very artsy. In fact, they all seem to know how to draw really well and I’m rather envious. Madeline: I seen like a bunch of people in my school that can draw really well but fortunately to name some, really they all seemed to hate me. Wolvy: Well, I’m sure there is people there that draw lots of horses I don’t know. I think horse people are artsy. This is an interesting one here. I don’t know what to write on this one. Dolphins and whales. Have you met any people who describes themselves as dolphins and whales besides Wolfin. Sphen: I think I have met in all co-wazs, but that was a long time ago and never really talk to him. |
| 28:08 | Wolvy: OK. Well, Wolfin says they’re intelligent.
Wolvy: I can see intelligent. I get dolphins and whales types, do you think they all like seafood or what? Sphen: I do not know. 2chaotic: I do not know either. That would be a hard one to say. I can see a dolphins eating steak for some reason. Wolvy: OK. Sphen: What was that? Wolfin: That was the dolphin. Wolvy: I was going to recommend Sudafed. Do you met anyone describes themselves as a bird like hawk, eagles and ospreys. Wolfin: This kind of slipped. Only closest I’ve seen is Griffins and since they kind of half-like or something. Sphen: If you knew someone who represent that you doubt it. About that I don’t think that’s a new thing. He did use this pretty nice picture of a falcon in Avatar. I wonder where he got that. I have lost contact with him. |
| 29:21 | Wolvy: If you had to describe him, what do you think its personality type is like?
Madeline: I’d say maybe even more, of course this might be like a bit stereotyping but they seem to have to think a lot more. Sphen: Yeah. The stereotype would be aggressive but I don’t think he was very aggressive, this guy I met. Wolvy: So you think the birds of prey are the thinkers of the predators? Madeline: Right. Yeah. Wolvy: OK. Sphen: Although for one student that I think that raptors. Wolvy: I guess the raptors also include owls, don’t they? 2chaotic: I believe so. |
| 30:03 | Wolvy: So, therefore we can look at some of the cartoon stereotypes of owls and they all tend to be bookish in nature. So what about non-raptors. I don’t think I’d ever want to be a furry kind of fish… too many people chasing me around looking for their meals.
Wolfin: I would I think. Wolvy: Yeah. How about mice and rats? Well, we have Jude. 2chaotic: Jude or 2chaotic. Wolvy: Yeah, mice. What can we infer about mice and rats? 2chaotic: Caring. Yeah. And they tend to stash food. Sphen: Intelligent. Wolvy: Yap. Sphen: As don’t as you think of gerbils, they are vicious. Wolvy: Gerbils? Sphen: Very, very vicious. |
| 31:02 | Wolvy: Yeah. Well, I guess to the bottom of my list. Does anybody else, have anything else?
2chaotic: You forgot raccoons. Wolvy: Oh, sorry dude but yes. Wolfin: Oh wow… but it would just be sneaky. Madeline: It could. Sphen: Raccoons. Wolfin: Sneaky. 2chaotic: Mischievous. Wolvy: They’re always washing their hands before dinner. Very hygienic creatures, except they keep on getting into my trash cans. Wolfin: And mine too. Speaker: Scavengers. Wolvy: They’re being pragmatic. There is probably a little bit of raccoon in me too. I just got to thinking about that. Here in Central Michigan we have a lot of whitetail deer. Speaker: Perhaps that sense I’m hiding all my shinnies now. Wolvy: We get this huge of population of deer. Wolvy: Well get this I tried deer hunting and I’ve yet to bring one home but I still have gotten five deer and every single one of them I’ve gotten in my front lawn. |
| 32:07 | People hit them with their cars and so I decided no longer am I going to allow a beautiful animal like that to just go to waste.
When they do get run over, I’ve turned them into steak. I guess it’s a bit of scavenger in me there. Or other people do that for me. I just run out side when there in my lawn and I take care a bit from there. Wolfin: That’s redneck. [Laughter] Madeline: It’s like someone just brought home the bacon. Wolvy: Yeah. Redneck is go out driving your truck and when sees one you turn and you go for it and chase them to the outback, but kangaroos gotten completely lost and then you’ll turn around and you’re in the outback. |
| 33:09 | It’s noon and the sun is directly over your head because you’re at 30 degrees latitude and then you realized you have absolutely no way of knowing which way you drove and you’re out the bush trying to figure out your way and there’s a kangaroo somewhere looking at you and laughing.
Speaker: Well I’ve eaten kangaroo. Wolfin: It’s not something you reveal in the furry podcast. Speaker: I just step off from my front door tomorrow and there’ll a whole of the kangaroos for signs of protesting. Wolvy: Yes. What’s we published is exactly right. Speaker: Now wait. This is the 21st century, they will be a petition first on the Internet. Wolvy: Most likely in an inquest. Speaker: Yeah. |
| 34:01 | Madeline: Savethekangaroos.com.
Wolvy: Savethekangaroos.com. They are going to have on there. Wolfin: For clients, I actually made up a concept idea just for the sample test internally for a client website. Internally, we called it savethemosquitoes.org. Wolvy: That will work. Madeline: It reminds me of stitch. Wolvy: Exactly. That what else thinking about. The ‘Lilo and Stitch’ movie there. That was their big gag in there. Well everyone we are now running almost 8 o’clock, so I think we are going to rap this up for the evening. Madeline: They are going to get dinner anyway. Speaker: Yeah me too. Sphen: Bye every one. Wolfin: Bye. Wolvy: I’d like to thank you all people for coming and contributing to WagzTail. Wolfin, I guess we need to talk about when you think you’re going to do the next podcast. When you are going to do another one, next recording? Wolfin: Whenever somebody steps up or if not, I’ll be doing the next one in two weeks’ time. |
| 35:03 | Wolvy: In two weeks. OK. What date when you typically record?
Wolfin: Fridays at 7:00 PM, Eastern. Wolvy: Fridays 7:00 PM, Eastern? OK. Well, I guess you all can be looking in two weeks on Friday seeing when it coming up then. Speaker: Excellent. Wolvy: Thank you much. I’m going to end this podcast and then do a little bit of editing. Sphen: OK. Madeline: See you guys later. Wolvy: Alright. Well thanks for coming. Madeleine: Bye guys.
