Sin keeps so many in bondage. It entices at the beginning, wooing people with promises of pleasure, but in the end it is a deadly trap with no way out. At least, that is what the enemy would have you think. It wants nothing better than for Christians to remain in bondage.
But that is not what we have been promised. No, God has promised to deliver us from sin. What He wants is for us to trust Him, to believe His promises and love Him. He has something more in mind than the never-ending cycle of guilt and despair. There is a way out. You can be free.
That is what we discuss this week. It’s a two-part episode, so be sure you listen to the whole thing.

A very thought provoking episode. I had never though of it the way you said. That it’s not just a matter of forgiveness, but of complete freedom from sin. That we are not to use God as a crutch for when we do sin, but to ask him to free us from sin, to rid our lives and our hearts from sin in the first place. He is there to help us completely, not just in part. Again, he’s not a genie what we take out of and rub the bottle, ask for something and, if it is given, say thanks, put back in the bottle and put it up again. He is the Creator of the Universe. We need to praise him in all things, to thank him for helping (even before He has), for at least hearing our prayers. And to ask that His will be done, not just our requests. For we do not know all circumstances. Even if what we ask is pure and good, the circumstances may not be right for it.
Keep up the wonderful work! I look forward to hearing more from you!
God be with you.

This is one of the most important messages I want to get out there, I think: the day-to-day Christian life is not one of sin-repent-be forgiven-sin-repent-be forgiven-sin-repent-etc; God has something far greater in store for us. He wants to take us and completely change us to something new, a creature that loves Him and wants to live for Him, and who is finally free from the shackles of sin.
