When it comes to BIble reading, I’m kinda KJV myself, but I can defeinitely see the advantages of having a bible with different versions to see abou the meaning of phrases. I can alos see the point about having TMI…getting stuck on trying to figure out ALL the meanings of one verse…you get bogged down in info without really learning anything.
It’s definitely a balance; but you also need to make sure your praying and letting God guide you, no matter what method you use.
True. It’s not like a scientific journal where it’s a matter of understanding or realziing something intuitive. This is the Holy Spirit letting you know of something in that verse, what it means, how to apply it. Not something from ourselves, but from the Lord.
