If you sin, will God hear you? Today we talk about a more sobering passage from Proverbs 28:9, with a glance at Psalm 66:18 as well. The message is clear: God detests the prayers of those who ask Him for something while persisting in their rebellion.

A very good discussion…something a lot of people don’t think about. After all, why would God help you if you’re not willing to follow Him? Like I’ve said before, He’s not a genie that you can rub the bottle and say, “I want this…”. We are to follow him. And not all of our prayers will be answered with “yes”. But, unless it is in God’s will, they probably won’t be answered if we turn from him and just use him in time of emergency or need. There’s no contract, nothing saying he has to answer our prayers, or even hear them, just because we pray to him.
