It is warming up in the northern hemisphere. That gets us to thinking about what we like to do in the summer: cookouts, swimming, biking, and all sorts of other fun things.
We will return to the furry stuff next week. For now, tell us what you enjoy about this time of year!

congrats on becoming as old as my grandpa 😛
I can’t go out much because it’s the rainy season down here, in which it’s either nasty looking (I haven’t seen blue in the sky for about 5 days now…), raining like crazy, or just way too hot and humid to do anything. which pretty much spoils the whole meaning of summer vacation: you are trapped in the house with your crazy relatives and if you try going outside, your hair catches on fire and you become burnt to a crisp.
I will be going to Chris Tomlin’s concert at Daytona (yes, where the NASCAR track is :3), so that’s one thing I will be doing.
I actually dont like summer as I usually have nothing to do, however, this year I will be going to Maryland for a week next month.
We have tried to grow many fruit trees on our 10 acre property, such as Cherries, Apples and Pears. But the problem is, we own goats, who will get loose from their pen, and go straight to the fruit trees, and kill them. Oranges are my favorite fruit. Sadly, we can’t grow them in Washington. My favorite kind of Orange, is the Sumo Oranges, but I tend to like Navel. Though I will agree they are tough. I like Grapefruit Juice, but I have to put sugar on the actual grape fruit in order to eat it. But I do think it tastes good.
My favorite kind of Apples, are Granny Smith. I like how tart they are.
I am hoping to organize a Camping Trip with some of my friends here soon, because the one reason I didn’t wanna quit Scouts (Did that, by the way) is because I love camping. In Boy Scouts, I actually got Kayaking Merit Badge. You should ALWAYS wear your life jacket.I learned that, when my kayak tipped over into the freezing waters of Flathead Lake.
I relate to the “I am straw” thing…. I only recently hit 120 pounds, and I’m 17.
The Pacific has Jelly Fish, as well. You just don’t see them as often.
My summer plans? I am hoping to, as I said, organize a Camping trip. Hang out with friends… Maybe get a job.
