Maybe someday I should see if I can get on this podcast so we get a bit more diversity.
My character is more of a mascot than a fursona, mostly because I’m not a furry. Since I’ve had her less than a year, she’s likely to go through some changes. So far, the only changes are a few stripe changes. I had originally drawn her from the front, and when I drew her from the side, I realized she looked a bit boring so I added more stripes. When I did her from the side, I also made sure that her body stripes were reasonably easy to draw more than once. (I’d started with very intricate stripes and quickly realized I couldn’t draw that multiple times.)
My mascot can also change species. I drew her as a Nexu once.
For those who want to have artists do commissions, or you want to draw it yourself, one thing I’d suggest is being careful about intricate patterns of spots or stripes since these can be hard to reproduce.
my fursona has changed mostly though artistic skill improvement; cause i actually am the artist for him. He’s just a normal fox mostly; accept instead of white fur on his chin it is on his face as a stripe. through design changes and stuff; the stripe was just straight, then it had a sortof weird bottleneck part that was on his muzzle, but then moved to his forhead later. Additionally i’ve also changed the hair on his head; he at one time just had fur but then i added brown unruly hair on his head to look more like my real life self. He wears a blue shirt and always has; but the design has changed slightly when i got a new type of the shirt irl. He has always had a #11 on his shirt, but the design of that has also changed from a simple #11 to a stylized 11 unintentionally resembling the shape of a ps4 viewed from the side, and then i colored the 11 yellow as added symbolism for him, since he has autism. so a lot is based on real life, but also evolved sortof through just getting better at my artwork. if you guys would like to know more about me/my fursona or see pictures, visit my DA page:
