Have you ever left the fandom? This week, we react to a letter sent in by a listener (and past participant) about his decision to take a break from the fandom. We discuss the reasons, good and bad, why people may wish to step back from the community, or even leave it forever. You can also hear Levi struggle to pronounce a name.

I am the coyote of the group! This means I am the handsome one, the intelligent one, the one who says all sorts of positive things about himself because he can even though he may be stretching the truth a little.
When I'm not hosting or editing the show, you can find me writing the next great furry novel.
I’ve seen people leave forums or other social networks, and I normally wish they’d put up a journal, even if the reason was changing interests. That way, friends can say goodbye or find another way to stay in contact. I’ve lost track of a few people due to them leaving without giving anyone a link, and it does sometimes make me wonder, “what ever happened to X?”
I have seen at least one person who gets into a fair amount of drama when it doesn’t look like their fault. This one artist has about 8K watchers, so I think drama finds them even if they try to avoid it. With less popular people, I assume they did the drama to themselves, though there may be rare cases when someone makes a powerful (read popular) enemy.
Quitting cold turkey with no warning, especially if you were active, could cause a panic in the community you left. Some people might think you’re hurt or something else bad happened, so in these cases, it’s a good idea to let someone know or you might get a whole group of worried cyberstalkers after you.
